What's the map? -Every month we will be running a competition to see who can recognise the map from the one small screen shot displayed on our company of heroes home page. We will then run a draw at the end of each month and we will be giving away a $10 voucher to the winner. All you have to do is to register in our forums and send an e-mail to guessthemap@elitekillingforce.com with your answer.
The winner will be picked at random and a gaming voucher of their choice will then be bought and posted to them at the end of each month. Good luck!

Setting up your graphics for good performance -As expected, because of the high detail, this game is very demanding on your whole system. Unfortunately, It seems that there are many players running the game with all their settings on Ultra High which just creates lag and stuttering for all the other players in the game. With this in mind, setting the correct graphics quality level is crucial to get a smooth in game experience.
To help resolve this issue, Relic have introduced a great feature into this game where you can adjust your video settings and then run a short film to test the FPS performance of your chosen settings. It then rates your machines performance at the end of the film; well done relic!
To access these settings, choose "options" from the Company of Heroes main menu and then choose the "Graphics" tab at the top of your screen. Then all you need to do is to manually adjust your graphic detail and hit the "Performance Test" button; which will run the film. At the end of the short film you will be given a rating for your machine running the settings that you have just chosen. It is recommended that you have at lease a "GOOD" rating before you start playing as this should ensure that stuttering and lag are kept to a minimum. If you are not happy with the results you can just keep tweaking your settings until you get a good frame rate from the film in balance with a good quality image.

Company of Heroes -This game is a visually stunning real-time strategy game that depicts all the violent chaos of World War II with uncommon intensity. Set during the invasion of Normandy toward the end of the war, Company of Heroes takes its cues from Saving Private Ryan, by portraying both the sheer brutality of the war as well as the humanity of its combatants. Many other recent WWII games have also drawn influence from Steven Spielberg's landmark film, but Company of Heroes is even more graphic.
This and the game's highly authentic-looking presentation are its distinguishing features, and it boasts some frantic, well-designed strategic and tactical combat to match. Company of Heroes trades a wide breadth of content for an extremely detailed look at WWII-era ground combat, and its action is so fast paced that it's best suited for the reflexes of an experienced RTS player.
If you like war, strategy and good eye candy then go and get this game now!
